Goodness in Fictional Characters
What bring outs good literature? safe(p) literature can be defined as a work of art that opens the refs mind to something new. though the idea of good versus black is nonhing new, the short stories Markheim, anomic Hearts, and The Body Snatchers by St flatson and James create a setting that reflects the deeper sozzleding that they ar trying to set. One of the points that these deuce great authors have compose in their stories was somewhat the private choices of their characters and how it reflects them as community. In customary life everybody boobs, still it is not necessarily true that your sins define whether or not you are a good person. It was state Alexander Pope that to roam is human so that meaning everyone commits sins, knowingly and unknowingly. Many people commit sins unknowingly but that doesnt truly mean they are bad people.\nIn contrast if you knowingly sin and you know that your sin forget do harm to other then you can be considered a bad person. I n Markheim the main character move outs the entrepot keeper but justifies his actions by calling himself an unwilling sinner (Markheim 11). Markheim tells the unknown And you would judge me by my acts! But can you not look within? to the stranger in an attempt to get him to understand the reasoning to his sins, even though some of the sins he committed were theft, and now murder (Markheim 11). Even though Markheims reason for murdering the market keeper is misfortunate Markheim still remains a good person for giving up to the stranger and coming discase to the maid at the termination of the story. This proves to show that even though he premeditatively murdered the storekeeper his scruples prevailed (through the help of the stranger) which reflects a good person. On the intelligence operation you can hear about serial killers and it is clear to master that they have no conscience for their lack of repent for the premier murder, because they continue to commit the alike sin over and over...
