Literary Analysis: Scarlett Letter

Nathaniel Hawthornes novel The Scarlet permitter tells the story of a teen adulteress, Hester Pryne, and the men in her bearing. She is living with the secret of her nippers true father. She also watches her husband seek visit against her lover-Roger Chilllingworth chooses to lento and painfully destroy Reverend Authur Dimmesdale, who is the father of her child. by dint of desire avenge on Dimmesdale, Chillingworth also takes a toll on his wife. In the early scene Hester is in the township neat on a scaffold holding an infant. Roger Chillingworth nonices that the cleaning noblewoman being scrutinized is his wife. At the time, he is unaware of the fathers identity, solely he vows to find him out. Chillingworth is a very leftover and twisted man. His actions throughout the novel prove this. Chillingworths prototypal attempt to identify the father occurs with Hester in the prison. While he is there, he tells her he is aware of who she is and of the situation she finds herself in. Even though Chillingworth tries to coax her into telling, Hester refuses to reveal Dimmesdale. It is at this point that Roger proves his need for punish and shows just how truly twisted he is. Roger says to Hester, He bears no letter of infamy wrought into his garment, as thou dost, exclusively I shall read it on his heart. Yet fear not for him!
